Virgie

We've been so lucky to have Virgie come over 2-3 times per week to help out and play! She's the cutest thing. She comes over (apron and all!) for about 2 hours to help clean, do dishes, laundry, sweep, etc. Before she leaves, she always gets a little "Tyler time" in- they play outside and tell stories! So cute!
Tyler calls her "Birgie" :-)
We love having her as our neighbor!

Fun with chalk

One fun idea I got from Pinterest.com is this:

So simple and fun! Tyler had fun modeling, too!
We tried this one just for fun, but I need to play around with it more. Maybe I'll have time one of these days!

Speech

Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, from 9-10, this is where Tyler & I are....speech! He has so much fun there and he LOVES his "teachers"!

Miss Carly
Mrs. Hillary
Mrs. Stacy (Tyler's favorite..shhhhh!)
Tyler started at Expressions in February and he has grown up SO much since he started. His vocabulary has just exploded and he's such a talker now! :-)

Here's where it gets really sad. It looks like we'll only be able to go to Expressions until the end of October. When he first started, our insurance wouldn't cover it because they said it wasn't necessary. Long story short, now they will cover it and they won't cover Expressions. They want to send us to Newport Language in FV. Haven't heard the greatest things about this place. :-( I wasn't impressed AT ALL when I took him for an evaluation. Thankfully, there's a 2 month wait to get in to Newport Language so we can stay at Expressions until then...which is until end of October. The only way we'll be able to stay at Expressions past that is if we pay cash, which Stacy (one of the owners) was so sweet and gave us a really great cash rate. She was so sad to hear that Tyler will probably be leaving, she said she'll do what she can to keep him! :-) So, we'll see what happens. Until then, we're soaking up every minute we can at Expressions!!

School!

Tyler started "school" again at St. John's in Orange today! It's really Mom's Morning Off...the same program that we did last spring and Tyler cried every time I took him...until I picked him up.

I had high hopes today that he'd go to school without crying because a) he's older, b) he's used to other people watching him, since the girls have been here, and c) his little friend Isabel is going there, too. Boy, was I wrong!!

Getting ready to leave...

Tyler & Daddy with Mr. Armando
The little stinker was perfectly fine....until he could tell Mommy & Daddy were getting ready to leave. Something clicked with him and he started to cry. A lot. We had to pull ourselves out of there...so sad to leave him knowing he's that upset. Sam went to work and I went over to Kristen's house....Susan called me 2 hours later and said he's ready to go. She said he was crying off & on, but crying the majority of the time. So sad! Jenny texted me when she dropped Isabel off and said Tyler was calm, sitting on Susan's lap. He was happy to see Isabel there!
We'll see how he does next week!

Thinking chair...

Tyler has been on a Barney kick for a few months now. He hasn't wanted to watch ANYTHING else...and I'm pretty darn tired of hearing his songs over & over!!! All of a sudden, Blue's Clues has become a favorite! There's a new show (at least new to us) called Bubble Guppies and he looooves that one, too. Finally, a variety!

Anyways, Tyler's red chair has turned into "The thinking chair" and he has a matching "handy dandy notebook", just like Steve & Joe.

I LOVE this age!!
