Big girls!

On Friday, (June 8) we moved the girls from their infant carrier car seats to their big girl convertible car seats. So bittersweet....but if I'm being honest, it's a bit more sweet than bitter. Although I absolutely loved the ease of having them in the infant carriers to lug them around in, it's been much easier than I expected to do without.

It was hilarious to see their reaction the first time they rode in their new seats. They looked confused, nervous, excited, and proud all at the same time. So funny! Love my big girlies!

School

The girls joined Tyler at Mom's Morning Off, starting on June 1. Let me tell you...I LOVE Friday mornings! I look forward to my 4 hours of freedom all week long.
The first week, the girls did ok when I dropped them off, but were exhausted & fussy when I went to pick them up. The second week, they screamed when we walked through the door. Ugh. The teachers said the girls did much better than last week after I left. They have little beds there, and Delaney has taken a nap, but Audrey wants nothing to do with a nap at school. Are you kidding? She MIGHT miss something :-)

Once Tyler starts school at the end of August, I'm planning on pulling him out of MMO and keeping the girls there so Tyler & I can have special time, once a week. I'm pretty excited for that! I love MMO!

Trampoline!

The kids got such an AWESOME birthday gift from Sam's cousins and Aunt & Uncle...their 1st trampoline! It's the perfect size for them and it's totally enclosed so they can't fall out. They have SO much fun playing in there and they are in there several times a day.

Helping Daddy set up the trampoline

Showing me how HIGH he's going to jump in there

Sad...I guess I haven't snapped any pics of Delaney in there. I'll get some tomorrow!

Sweet Tessa Mae

Welcome to the world, Tessa Mae!

On May 31, Kristen gave me my very first niece and I just LOVE her to pieces already! Tyler & I went to the hospital to welcome Tessa while Sam stayed home with the girls. Tyler, Noah & Ethan were so good and such troopers for hanging out at the hospital for over 6 hours.

Tyler made Tessa a special card before we left for the hospital. Here's what he told me to write in the card:
"Dear Tessa, Happy Birthday! Baby Jack is my best buddy. Baby Jack spilled my goldfish. I love you. Love, Tyler"  I think I missed a line, but you get the idea :-)
Waiting to hear when Baby Tessa has arrived!

Oh, sweet baby girl! Tessa weighed 5.4 pounds and was 18.5 inches long and she is just PERFECT!

Happy 3rd birthday Tyler!

What a trashy day! On Saturday June 2, we celebrated Tyler's 3rd birthday with a stinkin' fun party...all things TRASH! It was a lot of fun to put together and I know he had such a FUN day! We tried to keep this party relatively small. We only invited close family & friends with kids. It turned out perfect!

Some of these pictures are a little out of order, but whatever!

Someone was a little shy when we sang Happy Birthday to him. He's been so excited to blow out the candles, too. But, he wanted NOTHING to do with it as it was happening! Oh well!

A photo collage of some pictures of Tyler & trash, watching the trash truck and my favorite- a picture WITH the trash truck & the trash man, Thomas. :-)
Favors- watermelon sprouts in peat pots, trash can cookies made by yours truly, and the kids took home a toy trash grabber, too!

 Boucnin' fun!

The junk food! We had pizza, corn dogs, chips, Oreos, Cheese Whiz & crackers, licorice, choco-marshmellow pies, Cheese-Its, and I felt guilty of having only junk food, so I had some veggies & salad, too!

Super delicious vanilla cake with chocolate mousse from Great Dane Bakery.
Kathy & sweet Emily - We totally didn't plan to dress Delaney & Emily in the same outfits :-)

 The cake was yuuuuuuumy!

The kids played a trash pick-up game a few times! Once again, I thought Tyler would LOVE it. Nope! He wanted me to hold him while the other kids played. Not sure what that was all about!

Such a FUN day! I'm glad both parties are over and the big 1st birthdays are all finished so we can try to combine the three birthdays from now on. MUCH easier for the Mama and party planning! :-)
