Yay Daddy!

We are so so so so proud of Daddy! On February 9, he got offered a GREAT job down at the ports of Long Beach. Jason & Eric told Sam that he had a chance of getting in a couple of months ago, so we freshened up his resume and Sam hand delivered it. We were beyond thrilled when he got a call for an interview and to do a practical welding test. There were 2 positions open (which is so incredibly rare. It's super rare for even one position to open up. We're so lucky!) and they narrowed the finalists down to 4. We were on pins & needles for a few days, until he finally got "the" call! He's going to be working directly with Jason, which they're excited about. Shannon & I joke that they're long lost brothers...so much alike, those two! Anyways, Sam leaves the district on Feb 24 and his first day at his new job will be Feb 27.

It's just now starting to settle in our heads that this is real. For the almost 9 years I've known Sam, this is ultimately what he's wanted. It's such an incredible experience for him and it's going to allow us to do so much more than we could have if he stayed with the district. The biggest thing on our list??? MOVE!! So excited!
