What a week!

It's been a crazy week around here! Between my brain racing 100 miles a minute for no reason, making a big purchase we weren't expecting (see below!) and my little toddler being fussy & challenging this week, I'm on mental overload. I'm waiting for things to calm down!

Our week started off with a wonderful, relaxing Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday, we hung out at home and let Tyler run around and play with water & his new sprinkler beach ball (and the hose, of course!). The weather was PERFECT ... I couldn't believe how great it was!

On Sunday, we loaded up our motor home for the day and headed to the beach with Jason, Shannon & the kiddos. We set up camp in Huntington Beach and had the BEST day! We found a great little spot in the sand and had a great time chatting & laughing as the 4 kids played in the sand & water. SO.MUCH.FUN!

Tyler wasn't a fan of the water that was about 12 degrees. It was freeeeezing. I'm still not too sure how people were actually swimming in there...without a wet suit! Nuts!

This was too funny. Tyler got comfy on Shannon's head. He just kind of propped himself up there and hung out for a few minutes!

After the beach, Daddy circled around the front yard with Tyler in his new wagon from Grammie & Papa. Tyler LOVES this wagon! His face lights up when he sees it. So fun!

On Monday morning, we headed over to Kristen & Ben's house (the one they're moving in to in a couple of weeks) so Sam wanted to fix a problem with the toilets. K & B were at the river, but Sam wanted to surprise them to have it finished when they got home. While Sam worked in the house, Tyler & I went for a walk to the Orange Circle. I grabbed a Starbucks and we perused a couple of antique shops. Fun!

How stinkin' cute is this house? It's over 100 years old....(I think closer to 120, actually) and in such great shape! Love love love this house!

Monday night, while we were hanging out at home, Tyler wanted to test out his big dump truck! He did this all by himself without any prompting! So funny!

The last couple of days have been filled with Tyler playing outside...

...and playing with his fun cousins! It's beyond adorable how much these three love each other. They're always hugging...and we don't even have to tell them to do it! They just do!

Ethan & Tyler had no clue I was standing there...they were just playing & hugging!

And, the bittersweet part of our week is the purchase of these lovelies.....

Our washing machine broke and since we have a stacked unit, we couldn't buy just the washer. So, we spent quite some time last night at Sears & Best Buy and ended up getting these. We spent more than we wanted, but on the bright side...I'm really excited to do laundry now! These machines are crazy huge....the washer will fit 18 pairs of jeans!! There are so many buttons and settings, it's going to be fun to play around! We get the washer this weekend, but the dryer won't arrive until end of June. oh well!
