30 weeks!

I'm a little late on my 30 week update- it was a crazy weekend and I didn't get to it. I was in SO much pain this weekend from what I was told was round ligament pains, but it turns out it was gas/constipation (sorry if that's too much info). I cannot believe how horrible the pain was- I didn't get much sleep because I was in so much pain and I had no appetite. I'm glad this weekend's over with!

On to another week....

Symptoms: Now that I'm feeling better, I'm in a much better mood. I've been following the diabetic diet they have me on- thanks to Sam & my Mom fixing me really yummy, healthy meals.

Baby K is still breech and he's still having a ball in my tummy, kicking me like crazy. His feet are still really low- just above my cervix and whew! He loves to kick down there!

I've still been pretty tired- I need to start getting more sleep- even taking naps. I haven't been taking advantage of having the time to nap. That might help me out!

Kristen & Mom helped get the Baby's room together on Saturday. They hung up some artwork and organized the diapers & clothes in Baby K's dresser. I just love how it's all coming together! I'll post some pictures once we have the bedding in the crib- we haven't done that yet.

Baby K: Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
