I may have mentioned before that Tyler LOVES the school bus! Directly across the street from our house is a bus stop for the school district and Tyler loves to see the bus every morning at 7:50 & every afternoon at 2:50. He hears when the bus pulls up (really squeaky brakes) and he quickly heads over to the front door to see the kids get on the bus and then watch the bus pull away. So cute!
After the bus pulled away, Tyler went into his room and got his little wooden school bus toy. I heard it moving (squeaky tires..hmmm...coincidence?!?) and Tyler was pushing it down the hallway. Guess he didn't get enough of the real school bus!!
As for the trash truck, we've discovered Tyler is seriously afraid of them! We first noticed it when we were at Kristen's house and Tyler was standing at the front door. When the trash truck drove by picking up the trash can, Tyler screamed SO loud and couldn't get away from the front door quick enough. My first thought was he pinched his finger..his scream was horrible!
The next time we experienced this was on a little walk with Kristen & the boys & Ella. We were walking over to see some farm animals at the high school and as we were looking at the animals, the stinkin' trash truck (no pun intended! ha!) drove down the cul-de-sac....twice! Tyler screamed again and his little heart was beating out of his chest. So sad! He wouldn't take his eyes off the trash truck and he was holding on to me so tight. Of all the hours in the day, on trash day...the trash truck had to drive down the one little cul-de-sac we were walking on at that same exact time! Geez!
Some pictures before the trash truck encounter...
Ethan & his bread on our way to see the animals...
We couldn't feed the animals because they were kept way back behind another fence. I guess usually they run up to the fence for food, but not the day we went. We'll try it again!
This was right as he spotted the trash truck. The horrendous scream started about 2.7 seconds after this picture...
